BUTL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - RECAP

In February, the KCL Taekwondo team travelled to Leicester to take on the BUTL World Championship 2026, bringing together university athletes from across the country for an exciting weekend of competition.

The tournament was a fantastic opportunity for our athletes to challenge themselves, gain valuable competition experience and represent KCL on a major stage. From the first bout to the final match, our team showed determination, resilience and a real willingness to push themselves beyond their limits. Every performance reflected the hard work and commitment put in throughout the season.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, Salim and Mohammed! Their support, guidance and encouragement throughout the weekend played an important role in helping our athletes perform at their best.
